Here are a few mascara hacks you wish you knew earlier that will transform your regular mascara into magic mascara!
Bend your brush
Bend the wand of your mascara to a horizontal position for better application. If you don’t want to bend the original wand of your mascara, buy a few disposable mascara wands for the purpose. Store them in a clean and dry plastic cover and keep them airtight to avoid infections.
Use a spoon
Use a spoon under your lashes, especially your lower lashes to avoid the mascara from touching your skin and messing up your makeup.
Wipe the wand with a tissue
New mascara contains a lot of product, and it is easy to get flakes and lumps on the wand. These lumps can stick to your eyelashes and ruin the whole look and avoid this, and you can wipe the wand with a clean and dry tissue paper before you apply the first coat.
Warm water bath
Dip your mascara in a cup of warm water for about fifteen minutes to keep it watery in case it has become really dry and flaky. This hack is really useful in case you’re almost done with your mascara but wants to make the best use of it until it’s empty.
Put a few drops of saline solution into your mascara bottle and shake well to make the consistency of the mascara smoother and watery. However, make sure that you don’t add too much of it since it will make the mascara very light and useless.
Earbud for corrections
Nobody’s perfect, and it’s human that you make mistakes when you apply mascara or liner. However, the problem is that you wipe off your eye shadow and your primer as you wipe off the extra mascara or eyeliner that has spread on to your eyelids. This is a common thing that happens to everyone, and in case it happens to you, uses a clean earbud to gently wipe off the extra mascara from the top layer of your eye makeup without touching the rest of the layers.
Mascara for loose hair and grey hair
You can use your mascara to set the short baby hair on your hairline that may not look pretty after you tie a pony or a bun. Transparent gel mascara is the best for this purpose, but if you have grey hair in the hairline, you can use colored mascara after the transparent gel one.
Heat your eyelash curler
Use an eyelash curler before you apply mascara and to make it work more efficiently, try heating it with a blow drier. This will help your metallic eyelash curler to curl your lashes better, and the curl will stay for a more extended period.
